Obituary of Joan Smith

Sunday,August 2nd, 2009 3:00 PM Memorial service Mrs. Joan Smith, 55, of Dover passed away Thursday, July 30th, 2009 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clares Hospital, Dover following a short illness. Resident of Dover for twenty years, moved here from the Jersey City area. Mrs. Smith was born in Jersey City. She worked as a teacher's aide for the Academy Street School in Dover for five years. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Dover P.T.A.. She was an avid gardener, homemaker, cook and decorator who loved working on her home and yard. Survived by Roy, her husband of twenty-two years; her son Theodore Smith at home and three daughters Tasha Smith and Vanessa Smith both at home and Corrine Allen and husband Mike of Elizabeth. Also survived by one grandson Jayden and her brother Leonard Rice of Florida. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, August 2, 2009, 2 - 3 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. at the funeral home (www.tuttlefh.com).
