Obituary of James R. Birch

James R. Birch, 67, of Dover , passed away on Saturday, October 25th, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. James was born in Orange , and grew up in Roseland. He worked in Accounts Payable at H.O. Baker, Dover . He devoted many years as a volunteer with the Dover Strikers Soccer and Dover Little League. Best known to his grandkids as "Papa Jim " , he was their #1 fan. Survived by his wife of 42 years Betsy, his seven children Brian, Meghan, Shaun, Ryan, Collin, Caitlyn and Connor. Also survived by four grandchildren Dylan, Brody, Kaleigh and Corey. Predeceased by his sister Virginia. Visitation will be held today, October 28th, 2014, 7:00-9:00PM, at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph ( www.tuttlefh.com ). A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 29th, 2014, 10:00AM, St. Mary’s R.C. Church , Wharton. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in his memory to Atlantic Home Care and Hospice, 465 South Street, Suite 100 , Morristown , NJ 07960 , and the Dover Little League, 211 North Sussex Street , Dover , NJ 07801 .
