Obituary of Laverne Rosser Jones Sledgeski

LaVerne Rosser Jones Sledgeski, 86, born in Taylor, PA in 1928, resident of Dover, NJ, resided in Dunedin, FL. She went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014. Excepting Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 16. LaVerne, was a member of The Brick Methodist Church in Duryea, PA. Moving to Dover in 1950, she was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dover as a soloist, also for Dover Community event's and the American Legion. Worked in the Dover School system. Retired from Dover General Hospital. She was president of the Dover Senior Citizen, before moving to Florida. Loved her Red Hat org. Predeceased by her husband, Leo H. Sledgeski. LaVerne leaves behind siblings, Rev. Donald Jones, Elston Jones, Russell Jones; and one sister, Reba Hearrin. Two sons, Leonard (Len) of Dover, NJ, Donald, & Wife Audrey of Highland Lakes, NJ. Two daughters, Beth Ann Sledgeski Bell of Holiday, FL, Lynda Sledgeski Reilly & Husband James, of Landing, NJ. Leaving behind several grandchildren, Nicole Champion Whitfield & Husband Maurice, Allen Bell & Wife Kristen, Ibin Glover & Wife Velma, Nathaniel Johnson, Daniel Sledgeski, Sarah Sledgeski, LexieAnn Reilly, and Emily Reilly (her sweet pea). As well as a host of nieces and nephews, and great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 New Jersey Route 10W, Randolph, NJ 07869, viewing Oct. 27, 2014, 3 to 5 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. from funeral home to Locust Hill Cemetery, in Dover NJ. Matthew 5:8 "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God".
