Obituary of Janice A. Sefcik

Janice (Kunzer) Sefcik Janice Sefcik died on October 4th, 2014 at home after a short illness, surrounded by her children. Janice was the youngest of 11 children born to Katherine and John Kunzer in Dover on September 24, 1924. She graduated from Dover High School in 1942 and married Michael Sefcik, a marine, in 1944. They were married 63 years. They moved to Randolph in 1956. He predeceased her in 2007. She enjoyed most of all, the time with her family. She and her husband spent many hours vegetable gardening. She loved growing flowers and sold them from her home. She also enjoyed refinishing antique furniture. Her last years were spent enjoying reading mystery novels and working on many jig-saw puzzles. She is survived by her eight children, two daughters Kathleen Tice of Austin, Texas and Debora (Tom) Green of Williamsburg, Virginia, and 6 sons Michael (Jennifer) of Portland, Oregon, Thomas (Sandra) of Conover, North Carolina, Gregory (Diane) of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, Stephen (Barbara) of Austin, Texas, Edward (Sharon) of Chester, New Jersey and Daniel (Carolyn) of Randolph, New Jersey. She had 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A viewing is planned for Wednesday, October 8, 2014, from 7:00-9:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 9th, 2014 at St. Matthew the Apostle Parish, Randolph. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey, 175 South Street, Morristown, NJ 07960.
