Joan Angione (nee Fedkenheuer), 82, of Rockaway, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 3rd, 2014, surrounded by her family. She and her sweetheart and husband of 56 years, Dominick, decided together that while Dominick would work, Joan would focus on raising their family of five children. She was a lifetime member of the PTA, very active in her church. As her children grew, she continued on with the next generation in helping to raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family was her priority throughout her life, and she always brought love into the lives of those around her. Everyone she met commented on her beautiful, loving blue eyes. She was born in Hoboken and later spent many years living in North Bergen before moving to Rockaway in 2004. She lost the love of her life Dominick in 2010. She is survived by her children, Daniel & Nancy Angione, Helen & Gerald Primavera, Diane & Patrick Taylor, Dominick & Sonia Angione, and Annette & Martin Brooks. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Michele, Joseph, Glen, Dean, Paige, Christopher, Dana, Dominick, Samantha, Ryan, Cassandra and Emily, and her precious great grandchildren Alan, Brianna, Jacob, Zachary, Mikaella, Leah, Jack and Thaddeus. She is survived by her siblings Catherine Garbarini, Lillian Whitford, and William Fedkenheuer. She is predeceased by siblings Frederick Fedkenheuer, John Fedkenheuer, Anne O’Brien, Roseann Warmenhoven and Helen Ferarri. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6th , 2014, 2:00-5:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM, at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph ( www.tuttlefh.com ). A Funeral Mass will be on Monday, July 7th , 2014, 11:00 AM, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Rockaway. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her memory to the American Cancer Society, Eastern Division, Inc., 6725 Lyons Street, P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
