Obituary of Aleta T. Sabatini

Aleta T. Sabatini, 82, of Staten Island, NY, passed away Friday, May 30th, 2014, at Holly Manor Nursing Home, Mendham Boro. Aleta was born and raised in New York City, and moved to Staten Island in 1951. She graduated from Washinton Irving High School. Aleta worked at Lofts Candy Shoppe, NYC, later she became a milinary buyer for Bonwitt Tellers Department Store, Manhattan. Survived by her sister Benilde (Bennie) Cavagnaro and her husband David; her daughter Lisa and her partner Caroline Davies of California and her beloved twin grandchildren Jamie and Michael. Also survived by nieces Christine and husband Michael Downtain, Deborah and husband Kevin Dona and Lori Fontana; great-nieces Amanda, Courtney, Julia, Alexis and Gianna; great-nephews Anthony, Kameron and Bryce. Predeceased by her husband Hugo in 2001 and her son Ronald in February 2014. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 8th, 2014, 1:00-5:00 PM, Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com ). A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday June 9th, 2014, 10:00 AM, Resurrection Parish, Randolph. Interment to follow at Movarian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her memory to the American Cancer Society, Eastern Division, Inc., Attn: Memorial Processing Center, 6725 Lyons Street, P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
