Jay Templeton Tuttle, 52 of Dover,passed away at home on Wednesday, May 28, 2014.Jay was born in Dover and a resident of Dover since 1994. He grew up in Mine Hill and graduated from Dover High School in 1980, where he played Football and was a member of the Ski Club. Jay worked as a Graphic Artist and also as a Sales Rep for graphic arts supplies and equipment. He worked at Tuttle Funeral Home,his family's business since 1994. Jay was an excellent skier and fisherman. He loved art, photography, horror movies,cooking,eating, scuba diving, hunting, fireworks and especially his nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Pyrotechnic Artists and loved going to club shoots and setting up professional fireworks displays. Jay was also an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 17 years, where he made many good friends.
He is survived by his father, Dean T. Tuttle and his step-mother Evelyn H. of Brielle, his brothers Dean G. Tuttle and his wife Ikram of Ironia, Gregg H. Tuttle and his wife Karen of Mooresville,NC , Todd M. Tuttle and his wife Kelly of Randolph and his beloved nieces and nephews Amanda, Christian, Carolyn, Justin, Sara, Luis, Claudia and Gretchen. His Aunt Margie Solt of Belvidere, his Uncle Tim Tuttle and Aunt Carolyn of Maulvin, South Carolina , his Aunt Carol Ann Esposito and Uncle Dominick of Randolph, Jay also leaves behind many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his loving mother Carolyn K.(nee Solt) Tuttle in 1996 and many aunts and uncles.
The visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st, 2014 from 1:00PM to 5:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph. www.Tuttlefh.com The Funeral will be on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 11:00AM also at the funeral home. The interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
