William "Bill" Kenneth Detweiler Sr., 75, of Hopatcong, passed away Thursday, May 15th, 2014 at Troy Hills Center, Parsippany. William was born in Brooklyn, NY.
He was a retired Iron Worker for J . & R. Welding, Elizabeth.
He was a great roller skater and also enjoyed walks with his dogs and his model trains.
Survived by Elizabeth, his wife of 48 years; four children Laura Waluk of Hopatcong, William and his wife Melissa of E. Stroudsburg, PA, Michael of Rockaway Township and Joseph and his wife Danielle of Garwood; four grandchildren Kimberly, Jessica, Joey Jr., Alexandra and one on the way.
Also survived by his brother John of Nevada and two nieces Joanne and Monica.
Visitation Sunday, May 18th, 2014, 2:00 - 4:00 PM with a funeral service at 3:30 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com).
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the National Stroke Association, 9707 E. Easter Lane, Centennial, CO 80112 or the N.J. American Parkinson Disease Association Chapter, PO Box 5273, Kendall Park, NJ 08824.
