Obituary of Coralia N. Pappas

Coralia N. Pappas, 88 went home to Jesus on April 8, 2014. Coralia touched many lives and the world is a better place because of her bright and generous spirit. She was a living Angel as her life was one of faith and love of family. She was a confidant, provided a beautiful smile and encouragement to everyone she met. Coralia was a member of St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church and Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church. She taught Sunday School at St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church, Randolph for 32 years and purchased a Bible for each of her students and signed a personal message of faith. She was a volunteer at Deer Path Montessori School in Hackettstown. She was co-owner with husband Walter of Jay Pappas & Sons Inc. before retiring in 1989. She had also worked at Tiffany & Company. Survived by Deborah E. Pappas Burne of Randolph (husband Martin) and Elaine J. Pappas Romano of Green Township (husband Vincent). Also survived by three grandchildren Michael, Sandy and Kara and one great-grandson Gregory. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Walter J. Pappas, her parents Very Rev. George Nasis and Presbytera Anthipi Fotiades, her sister, Evelyn N. Somkopoulos and brother, Homer Nasis. Funeral Services will be Monday, April 14th, 2014, 11:00 AM at St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church, Sussex Turnpike, Randolph. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church, 1447 Sussex Turnpike, Randolph, NJ 07869 or Merry Heart Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Center Activities Fund, 200 Route 10, Succasunna, NJ 07876.
