Obituary of David Michael Lovenberg
David Michael Lovenberg, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018, following a long battle with the disease of addiction. Born on November 8, 1981 in Dover, he was the loving and loyal son of Dawn Norlander and Theodore Lovenberg.
David was a 2000 graduate of Morris Hills High School where he was an exemplary track star. He loved to express himself through writing and music and did so eloquently. A practical joker, he thoroughly enjoyed playing innocent pranks on people. David loved the NY Giants and spending time with friends.
In addition to his parents, David is survived by his maternal grandmother Mikki Lawler; grandfather Paul Cella; step-mother Jeanette Lovenberg and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother Ann Fitzpatrick, maternal grandfather Richard Norlander, paternal grandfather Theodore Lovenberg and his trusty four-legged companion Boomer. Throughout his struggles, David remained a loyal friend and will be greatly missed by many.
Social stigma aside, Ted and Dawn want everyone to “wake up” and realize just how many young lives are being lost this disease. The issue needs to stop being ignored and swept under the rug. The stigma contributes to the problem and denial is rampant.
Visitation Wednesday, August 8, 2018, 4:00-7:00PM with a service at 7:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Milestone Halfway House, 60 N. Sussex Street, Dover, NJ 07801.
