Wanda’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I was fortunate to have worked with Dr. Gorecka from the time she started at Holy Name until her retirement....An amazing doctor, and beautiful, caring,compassionate, humble person, with a fierce love of family, who was loved by all .

I was lucky enough to get to work with Dr. Gorecka for 10 years. Wonderful doctor. She was in the room when I had my first child. May she rest in blissful peace. Sending comforting prayers to her beloved family.

I wish to send my deepest sympathy to the dear family of my friend Dr Wanda Gorecka. I was so blessed to have had the privilege of knowing this most amazing, loving woman, pediatrician, mom, and a grandma. I am a nurse at Holy Name Medical Center and hold her memory in the deepest part of my heart. I am also of polish descent, as we shared many feelingson old traditions of family and food. She was always there to listen to me and advise me whether I wanted it or not :) I know she is with all the angels in heaven and is happy for the life she had with her family and friends here on earth. May God bestow his open arms to all of you as you go through this most sorrowful time. Even though I only had a brief moment with your family at her retirement party, I saw the magic you all brought to each other. I will never forget how beautiful Dr. and Mr. Gorecka looked as they danced as if they were young and in love...Always in my prayers, Theresa Koprowski RN.
