Obituary of Clarence Hisakazu Sakimura
CLARENCE H. SAKIMURA, 85, of Morristown, New Jersey (formerly of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania) died peacefully at home on Friday, 20 April, 2018, after a courageous battle with diabetes and Alzheimer’s-Dimentia.
He is survived by: his wife of 53 years Herta; sister Alice of San Dimas, California; sons Michael of Morristown, New Jersey and Gregory of Williamsburg, Virginia; and five grandchildren whom he adored and admired.
He was a retired civil servant with 31 years of service to the Department of the Navy, culminating as a Logistics Manager at the Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg. For many years he and his wife were the owners and operators of Far East Grocery in Mechanicsburg. Clarence graduated from Messiah Academy, and Messiah and Wheaton Colleges. He was also a Material Aid Worker for the Mennonite Central Committee from 1955-57 in Vienna, Austria.
He will be intered alongside his parents at the cemetery at Grantham Memorial Park in Grantham, Pennsylvania.
