Obituary of Peter E Knothe

Peter Edward Knothe, 96, passed away peacefully in his home April 14, 2018.

He was the son of Edward and Francis Knothe (Kolar) (dec.) and brother to Albert Knothe (dec.) and Sister-in-law Madeline Knothe (dec.).

He is survived by his wife Alice Knothe (Kemmerer) of 71 years, son Robert “Pete” Knothe and late wife Caroline, daughters; Kathleen Burke and late husband George, Linda Intili and husband Edward, Deborah Perez and husband Marc, adopted daughter Joyce Dix. He has six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Peter was a loving husband, father, friend and a veteran of WWII where he served as a medic. When Peter was not working as a union Local 254 carpenter, he loved to work on his family’s Randolph, NJ farm which they purchased in 1917. He lived a full life and dedicated himself to helping others as he was a member of; Randolph, NJ VFW Post 7333, Jeptha Masonic Lodge Rockaway, NJ, Randolph Fire Department  Company #3 Randolph, NJ/ACACIA Lodge #20 Dover, NJ, Mt. Freedom Presbyterian Church (Deacon) Mt. Freedom, NJ, Randolph Seniors Randolph, NJ, Randolph Historical Society Randolph, NJ, Deborah Heart and Lung Center Browns Mills, NJ.

Visitation Tuesday, April 17, 2018 3:00 – 5:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home 272 Route 10, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com).

Funeral Service Wednesday, April 18, 2018, 11:00 AM at Tuttle Funeral Home.

Interment is private.
