Phyllis (nee Ruhno) Gonter, 95, of Hackettstown, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018, at Morristown Medical Center.
She was born in Newark; until 1990 she resided in Hopatcong and later Hackettstown.
Phyllis worked at Dover High School for many years before her retirement in 1985.
She was a member of the Hopatcong Senior Citizens Club.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Fish of Hackettstown; son William Worters and his wife Janice of Myrtle Beach, SC; five grandchildren William, Jr., Robert, Jennifer, Sheri and Matthew and many great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her first husband Walter Worters in 1980 and her second husband Albert Gonter in 2008, along with two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation Monday, March 26, 2018, 6:00-8:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Service Tuesday, March 27, 2018, 10:00AM also at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
