Obituary of Anthony James Nardone
Anthony James Nardone, 78, of Newton, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at his home.
He was born and raised in Newark, was a resident of Rockaway for 32 years before residing in Newton for the last 12 years.
Anthony was a Fireman for the Newark Fire Department Engine 5 and retired as Captain after 30 years of service. He then went on to be a Fraud Investigator for OneBeacon Insurance and a Superior Court Officer for the Superior Court of New Jersey.
Anthony was president of the Firemens’s Union for 8 years. He was a great father and grandfather who enjoyed being with his family.
He is survived by Judith, his wife of 57 years; two children Michelle A. Roe and her husband James of Andover and Anthony and his wife Lourdes also of Andover; four grandchildren Jessica, James, Carly and Anthony; and one brother Emil. He is predeceased by his two children Deborah in 2007 and Michael in 1997.
Visitation Sunday, March 18, 2018, 2:00-6:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass Monday, March 19, 2018, 10:00AM at St. Clement Pope and Martyr Church, Rockaway. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven, East Hanover.
