Obituary of Camila Vasquez
Camila Vasquez, 85, of Dover, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, February 8, 2018. She was born in Colombia and has been a resident of Dover since 1972.
Camila was a devout Catholic. She loved time spent entertaining her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and making new friends. Camila was the matriarch of her family and was well known for making the best empanadas. She lead the way, as the first member of her family to immigrate to the US and would help other family members by always opening her home to them.
She is survived by her three children Sonia M. Posada of MD, Gloria M. Pineda and her husband John of Dover and Victor M. Posada and his wife Susana of Sparta; six grandchildren Natalia and her husband John, Tatiana and her husband Salvatore, Nicole and her husband Chris, Daniel, John and Christian; five great- grandchildren John Alexander, Erik, Luca, Juliana and Niko. She is also survived by her sister Genivera Vasquez; two brothers Argemiro Vasquez and Rodrigo Quintero; nieces and nephews along with other loving family members. A special thank you to Wilson and Oscar Vasquez, her nephews, for all their love and attention.
Visitation Sunday, February 11, 2018, 1:00-5:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home. Funeral Mass Monday, February 12, 2018, 9:30AM at Sacred Heart Parish, Dover. Interment is private.
