Obituary of Christine O Johnson
Christine “Chris” Johnson, 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Merry Heart Nursing Home after a 5-year battle with Alzheimer’s. She was a loving and caring person who will be missed by her family and wonderful friends.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was raised by a very special single Mom. She graduated from Chadsey High School and then went to work at Henry Ford Hospital. In 1967, she met her husband-to-be and they were married in Detroit in 1968. Immediately after their honeymoon to Acapulco they moved to Norwell, Massachusetts where they started their family and lived for 8 years. This is where she began her main role in life, raising her 3 sons and being a loving homemaker. In 1976 they moved to Randolph where they have resided for 41 years. In addition to being a homemaker, she did work for 15 years with ANJEC in Mendham before retiring in 2005. She was also a Parishioner of Resurrection Parish, Randolph since 1978 and on the Social Committee for many years. Chris loved having fun, entertaining, dancing, and traveling. She kept a detailed map with pin placements of all the places and countries she visited with her husband.
Christine is survived by her husband Ronald of 49 years, sons Ross, Brian, and Kyle and his wife Jennifer (Reck). She is also survived by her two grandsons Chase and Cole and her two loving cousins Nancy Mattias and Dorothy Hayward.
Funeral Mass 10AM, Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Resurrection Parish, Randolph. Visitation Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com) from 3-5PM and 7-9PM. Interment at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C.
