Obituary of Marjorie A Schoonmaker

Marjorie A. (Moran) Schoonmaker passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 29, 2017.   She was 82.

 

Marjorie was a lifelong resident of Dover and a graduate of the Dover High School Class of 1952.  Marjorie worked as a Value Engineering Specialist at Picatinny Arsenal, retiring in 1994 after 24 years of service.  Marjorie was an avid reader and played an instrumental role in planning reunions for her high school class.  Upon retirement, she worked for many years as an election poll worker in the 2nd Ward in Dover.

 

Marjorie is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Stanley, her daughter Beth, of Dover, her son Bill and his wife Lisa, and her cherished grandchildren, Matthew and Kaitlyn, all of Morris Township.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Moran and Elizabeth (Doyle) Moran.

 

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, November 2nd at the Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Highway #10, Randolph Township, NJ 07869.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover, will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marjorie’s memory to the Dover Area Historical Society, 55 West Blackwell St. P.O. Box 609 Dover, NJ 07801.
