Obituary of Carol Ann Zepp
Carol Ann Zepp (nee Juhr) died on Friday, October 20, 2017 at home with family and loved ones by her side.
Born March 2, 1942, the only daughter of William and Anna Juhr, Carol was raised in Cranford, and married Hilton Zepp on July 1, 1961. Carol worked as a secretary with Western Electric from 1960 until 1967 when she and her growing family moved to Randolph, where she raised her four children and lived the remainder of her life.
As a teenager in Cranford, Carol proudly served as Worthy Advisor in the Masonic Order of Rainbow for girls, and was a Sunday school teacher at Trinity Episcopal Church where she was later married. While residing in Randolph, Carol was a secretary – receptionist for several area Doctors, and a very popular school bus driver for the Randolph School system.
Carol enjoyed a large group of friends while being active with Randolph Soccer and managing the snack bar at Heistein’s Soccer and later she volunteered with the Randolph High School Boy’s and Girls’ soccer programs, not to be outdone by her athletic children, Carol found time to enthusiastically play softball, volleyball and racquetball. She especially enjoyed camping and canoeing with family and friends.
After her children were grown, her nurturing instinct ultimately led her to volunteer with the Randolph Animal pound and to care for five foster babies through the NJ Department of Children and Families.
She was predeceased by her two brothers, the Rev. William Juhr and Robert Juhr, Carol is survived by her devoted husband Hilton of 56 years, sons Thomas, James and his wife Laura, Arthur and his wife Danielle, her daughter Anna (Kurban) and seven grandchildren: Carol (Wilson), Marianna, Nadia and Nassim Kurban; Tyler, Lily and Autumn Zepp.

A private cremation will be arranged at a later date.
