Jose passed away on October 10th at his home in Dover, NJ. He was a lifelong coin collector with a love of fishing and an affinity for visiting the many castles of Spain. He never met a lobster or octopus he would not eat.
He was the son of Jose and Ramona Santos. Jose was born in Palmeira, a small coastal town in Northwest Spain and immigrated to Harrison, NJ with his parents and younger brother as a child. He was a lifelong resident of Harrison, NJ until moving to Dover in 2009. He honorably served in the U. S. Army for 8 years. He worked at Alcoa Howmet in Dover for over 20 years and was the Group Leader in the Dipping Dept. at the time of his passing.
He is survived by his mother Ramona, brothers Ramon and Jorge, his beloved nephews Andrew, Brandon, and Lukas, and niece Marissa.
Memorial visit for Jose will be held on Monday, October 16th from 6-8 pm at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph. Per his wishes, he will be taken back to Spain for eternal rest.
