Obituary of Walter E. Miller
Walter Ernest Miller, 86, of Randolph, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, from complications due to a stroke; he was surrounded by his devoted family.
Walter is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty), of 59 years, and daughters, Kathleen Marie (Carl L.) Gibbs and Elaine Helene (Robert L.) Trowbridge. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Holly, Thomas, Roseanne, Niki, and Cheryl (deceased). Additionally, he leaves behind a sister, Marjorie (Miller) Stank, and nephews, John J., Randy, and Kevin. Walter was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Walter was a self-employed tool and die maker, working primarily out of the home he built with his wife Betty in 1959. His hobbies included wood working, gardening, and bird watching. He belonged to the Acacia Masonic Lodge in Dover where he was an active member for 65 years.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 10 am to 12 pm at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10, Randolph. The funeral service will be held at 12 pm at the funeral home on the same day. Interment will immediately follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Quaker Church Road, Randolph. Memorial donations may be made in Walter’s name to the Mt. Fern Methodist Church, 435 Quaker Church Road, Randolph.
