Obituary of Marion E. Schuttler
Marion Schuttler, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Saint Clare’s Hospital, Dover.
Born in Easton, PA to the late Gustave and Blanche Schuttler. she moved to Dover in 1932. She graduated as an honor student from Dover High School. She graduated with high honors, earning her BS from University College of Rutgers, and earned an M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business, Rutgers University. Marion retired from Picatinny Arsenal in 1981.
From 1969 – 1979 she was Chief, Stock Management Branch, Supply Division; at the same time was the first women Accountable Property Officer at the Arsenal. From 1979 to retirement she was Chief Support Division, Fire Control and Small Caliber Weapons System Laboratory. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Dover. Former President of the Paterson Alumni Regional Counsel, University College, (Rutgers University). Longtime member of the Board of Directors, Picatinny Federal Credit Union. Former President of the Wharton/ Mine Hill Rotary Club, also Paul Harris Fellow. Member and Service Officer of the Nation Association of retired Federal Employees Union, J. Ryan Chapter 424. Coordinator and Tax Aide for the Tax Aide Program, American Association, retired persons at the Denville Public Library.
Survivors include cousins Kenneth (wife Yvonne) Blankenhorn of Elizabethtown PA and Marion E. Blankenhorn, of Pottsville, PA. and several other cousins. She is also survived by her dear friend, Nancy A. Chamberlain, Oak Ridge, NJ.
