Obituary of Michael Anthony Petrock, Jr.
Michael Anthony Petrock, Jr., 68, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, with his devoted wife and son at his side. Michael was born in Morristown and grew up in Chatham. Michael was a graduate of Chatham High School, he earned an AA Degree from County College of Morris and a BS Degree in Accounting from Rutgers.
He served in the Army National Guard from 1968 until his discharge in 1974 as a Specialist Forth Class.
Michael’s career encompassed over 20 years with Beneficial Corporation, during that time he held various financial positions, the last being Vice President-Branch Manager of the Wilmington, DE office. Michael went on to create Mortgage Depot, a mortgage brokerage located in center city Philadelphia. Michael’s last position was Treasurer/Controller with New Jersey Title Insurance Company, Parsippany.
Michael was predeceased by his sister Conchetta Yannunzio. He is survived by Mary (Arico) his loving wife of 48 years, and son Michael, III. He is also survived by his brothers Frank Petrock, Joseph Petrock and Charles Petrock; sisters Madeline Connolly and Rose Harrigan and his many nieces and nephews.
