Obituary of Roy L. Miller

Roy L. Miller, 94, lifelong resident of Dover, passed away Monday, July 8th, 2013 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clares Hospital, Dover, following a short illness. Roy was born in Rockaway Township. He attended Grace United Methodist Church, Dover, for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He worked as a Tool & Die Maker at Picatinny Arsenal, Rockaway Township, and retired in 1974 after 34 years. After his retirement, he worked at various jobs until he was well into his 80's. Survived by his wife Marion; daughter Joan Burdge of Dover; sister Gladys Garrison of Lynchburg, VA.; two granddaughters Aileen Kasper and Brenda Parr; two great-grandchildren Shawn Kasper and Katie Parr. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Leo and sisters Ruth, Dorothy, and Florence and his grandson Gary Burdge. Visitation Thursday, July 11th, 2013, 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services will also be at the funeral home 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11th, 2013. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
