Obituary of Joseph Francis Stanton

Joseph Francis Stanton, 86, of Rockaway Twp., NJ, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013 after a long illness. Joseph was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Rockaway Twp. since 1968,previously he resided in Queens, NY. He served in the US Navy during World War II and worked as an accountant for Agfa in Elmwood Park. Joseph is survived by his wife, Virginia, of 59 years; his two sons, Joseph P. and Patty of Blairstown and Edward of Randolph; his three daughters, Virginia Read and husband Richard of Cape Cod, MA, Barbara Ross and husband William of Charlotte, NC, and Mary Beth Noon of Tobyhanna, PA.; seven grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, Brianne, Jesse, Jared, Stephanie and Jacob; his two great grandchildren, Andrew and Logan; his three sisters, Marie Fitzgerald of Long Island, NY, Eileen Mernin and husband James of Virginia and Rosemary Parnizari of Brooklyn, NY; and his mother in law, Virginia Cook of Mount Arlington. Joseph was predeceased by his brother Alexander E. and his grandson Alexander M.. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph(www.Tuttlefh.com) the memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
