Obituary of Margot Dorothea Van Den Heede

Margot Dorothea Van Den Heede, 83, of Rockaway Twp., passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 after a long courageous battle. Margot was born in Munich, Germany and lived in Rockaway since 2002. She previously lived in Hemlock Farms, Lords Valley, PA and Northport, Long Island, NY. Margot was a wholesale foods buyer for North American Produce in Long Island for 25 years and retired in 1992. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Farrell and her husband Brendan of Denville, her son Peter Van Den Heede and his wife Dawn of Lake Wallenpaupack, PA, her three grandchildren, Dylan & Brianna Farrell and Alicia Van Den Heede and her significant other and loving companion, Kenneth Rubin and his loving granddaughter Isabell. Margot had many talents. She loved to bake bread, cakes and Christmas cookies, crafting jewelry, gardening, writing short poems, designing and sewing clothes for her grandchildren and their dolls and perhaps most of all knitting all manner of things. In life she put other’s needs and comforts first, never being judgmental. The qualities we saw in Margot we see in her daughter and grandkids. Although we mourn for Margot, we celebrate her life what she has left behind. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 10:00AM to 11:00 AM at Tuttle Funeral Home (www.Tuttlefh.com) in Randolph. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM, also at the funeral home.
