Obituary of Betty Jane Hedden

Betty Jane Hedden, of Randolph, passed away Tuesday, June 4th, 2013 at Saint Clare's Hospital, Dover. Betty Jane was born in Glen Ridge and has been a resident of Randolph since 1939. She was the oldest member of the Mt. Fern United Methodist Church of Randolph where she served as organist and chaired many committees. Co-Founder and Past-President of the Dover Jr. Women's Club; Co-Founder and Past-President of the Dover Contemporary Club; served on the Randolph Township Board of Education for several terms; member and Past-President of the Dover Reading Circle; member of the Dover General Hospital Auxiliary and member of several Bridge Clubs of close friends. The family wishes to acknowledge the incredible tender care she received by the ICU Staff at Dover General Hospital. Survived by her husband Willard "Woody", married 65 years; six children Bob and wife Linda, Bill and wife Eleanor, Ken and wife Janice, Jane Hedden and husband Michael Primeau, Tom and wife Lynne, and Jennifer Hedden and husband Brian Timmermann. Also survived by her brother Edward Ruete and six grandchildren Chloe, Sarah, Janie McClanahan, Gwen, Eric, and Will. Memorial Service will be held at the Mt. Fern United Methodist Church, Randolph on Tuesday, June 11th, 2013, at 11 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her memory to either the Predator Defense, PO Box 5446, Eugene, OR 97405 or Lakeland Animal Haven, PO Box 258, Dover, NJ 07802.
