Gerard J. Urso, 71, of Succasunna, passed away Monday, February 24th, 2014 at Sunrise Assisted Living , Randolph. Gerard was born in New York City, NY. He has been a resident of Succasunna since 1994, formerly of New York City. He was an active member of St. Elizabeth-Ann Seton Church, Flanders. He worked as a Custodian for the New York City Board of Education and retired in 1998 after 25 years. Gerard was an avid photographer and loved visiting Wild West City in Byram Township. He compiled a book of photos that chronicled the reenactments and story of Wild West City. Some of his photos were featured on their souvenir postcards. Survived by his two sisters Rosemarie Urso of Flanders and Mary Ann Urso-Pecorino and her husband Thomas of Succasunna. Also survived by his two nieces Christine Pecorino and Jessica Pecorino. Visitation Thursday, February 27th, 2014, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass Friday, February 28th, 2014, 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth-Ann Seton Church, 61 Main Street, Flanders, NJ 07836 (973-927-1629). Entombment will follow at Madonna Cemetery and Mausoleum, Fort Lee, NJ.
