John "Jack" Robert Baymore,Jr.,94,of Lake Hopatcong, passed away on Saturday, April 27,2013 at St. Clares Hospital in Denville after a short illness.Born in Chester, PA, he grew up in Dover and lived in Lake Hopatcong since 1946. Jack was a self employed Interior Decorator for 60 years, retiring in 1973.He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II, he was the band director for Fort Hamilton Band and later for the 1st Army Division. He was in the third wave of the Invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. He was an avid golfer and still shot his age at 94.Jack was a very witty, personable and generous man, who was very well loved. He is survived by his son, John C. Baymore and his wife Mary of Wilton,NH. His 2 granddaughters,Jennifer Harris and her husband Joe of Torrington,CT and Bethany Baymore of Burlington,VT. His brother, Paul Baymore and his wife Angie of Walden,NY and many very good friends.He was predeceased by his wife Muriel in 1980. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 30,2013 from 10 AM to 12 Noon at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph. www.Tuttlefh.com .The funeral will follow at Noon,also at the Funeral Home.
