Obituary of Donald M. Brill

Donald M. Brill, 73, of Dover, passed away Thursday, April 11th, 2013 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clare's Hospital, Dover. Donald was born in Cleveland, OH and has been a resident of Dover since 1949. He was a Member/former usher at Sacred Heart Church in Dover for over 50 years. He began his career as a Police Officer with the Dover PD; and was promoted to Detective. He was instrumental in starting the Drug & Alcohol Juvenile Awareness Program for the Dover HS students; and actively served on the Dover Board of Education for 28 years. Upon his retirement, he was a wedding photographer, and was a lifelong train enthusiast. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Erna; his son Michael D. and wife Evelyn of AZ and his daughter Linda M. Brill of Asbury Park. Also survived by 2 grandchildren Gavin and Darian. Visitation Sunday, April 21st, 2013, 2 - 6 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, Dover, 10:00 AM on Monday, April 22nd, 2013. Entombment will follow at Locust Hill Mausoleum, Dover.
