Obituary of Paula Ada Philhower

Paula Ada Philhower, 73, of Ashland, VA, passed away Monday, February 17th, 2014 at Memorial Regional Medical Center, Mechanicsville, VA. Paula was born and raised in Dover, and has been a resident of Ashland, VA since 2004. Formerly of Long Valley, where she resided for 40 years. She worked as a Trust Officer at Peapack Gladstone Bank, Gladstone, and retired after 22 years. She attended Sacred Heart Academy and went to high school at Bailey Ellard. She graduated from F.I.T.. She served on the Washington Township Board of Recreation Committee and was an active member of the Emblem Club, Dover. She was a parishioner of St. Lawrence Church, Chester, and was an active volunteer in their Pre-Cana Program. She earned her Master Gardeners Certificate in Virginia and was treasurer of the Hanover Town Garden Club and lifetime member of the Virginia Garden Club. Survived by Jon, her husband of 51 years; two daughters Denise Diane Ross and her husband Richard of Long Valley and Cheryl Koenig and her husband Philip of Mechanicsville, VA; two grandchildren Zackery and Ariel; two brothers John Cosentino and his wife Carolee of Dover and Peter Cosentino and his wife Cindy of Dover; two sisters Terry Campo and her husband Ralph of Moraga of CA and Juanita Lally and her husband Bill of Dover. Also survived by her aunt Teresa Racich of Matawan, four godchildren Karen Falcone, Ralph Campo, Peter Salvucci and Peter Michael Cosentino and many nieces and nephews and her grand-dogs Dot and Turtle. Visitation will be held Friday, February 21st, 2014, 4:00-8:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10, Randolph, (www.tuttlefh.com ). A Funeral Mass will be at Sacred Heart Church, Dover, at 9:30 AM on Saturday, February 22nd, 2014. Entombment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hackensack. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Sheltering Arms Rehabilitation Center, 8254 Atlee Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23116
