Obituary of Jill Ann Rost

Jill Ann Rost, 64, of Hopatcong, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 8th, 2013, surrounded by her family, at Saint Clare's Hospital, Denville, fighting a courageous battle of cancer for 5 years. Jill was born in Dover and has been a resident of Hopatcong since 1973. She was a member of the First Memorial Presbyterian Church, Dover and also a choir member. Jill worked as a licensed Beautician at Regency Grand Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, (formerly Dover Christian Nursing Home) and retired recently after 43 years of service. She had 25 years with the Girl Scout Organization both as a member and a leader; member of the Dover High School Drill Team; Order of the Eastern Star Pearl Chapter #252, Dover and Daughters of The Nile, Livingston Shrine. She was Secretary and Treasurer of the Lucky Ladies all girl Drum Corp., Wharton and Treasurer of the Emerald Grenadears, all girl drum corp., Rockaway Township. Jill enjoyed family picnics, gardening, flea markets, antiquing, and scratch offs and was also a dog enthusiast. Jill is survived by her husband Paul Jr a love story that started in 8th grade through marriage a total of 51 years; her daughter Sherri and son Paul III and his wife Jesica; her sister Betsy Decker and her husband Bruce; niece and nephews and her large extended family. Also survived by her two beloved "kids" Holly and Tanner. Visitation Friday, January 11th, 2013, 3 - 5 & 7 - 9 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (http://www.tuttlefh.com/). Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home 9:30 AM, Saturday, January 12, 2013. Entombment will follow at Locust Hill Mausoleum, Dover.
