Obituary of Margaret "Marge" Stehle

Margaret "Marge" Stehle, 102, of Dover, passed away on New Year's Eve, 2012, surrounded by loving family and friends at Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clares Hospital, Dover. She was born in Blissville, L.I., New York on December 2, 1910. She married Charles H. Stehle April 12, 1936 in Blissville, and moved to Dover in 1937. She was a model housewife, mother, a great cook and a good friend. She worked in Payroll at McGregor Sportswear in Dover in the 1950's, after which she worked several years at Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dover. Marge was an avid bingo player, winning regularly over the years at Dover's Sacred Heart Church bingo, the Jewish Center, the Moose, American Legion, and in Portland with her son-in-law. She and her late husband "Chic" regularly took senior bus trips to "try their luck" in Atlantic City. Survived by her two daughters Carole Garnet of Dover and Charlene May of Manassas, VA; "Nana" to five grandchildrean and their families; Chris Garnet, wife Debbie, and sons Matthew and Jonathan, of the area, Karen Lofgren, husband John, and daughters Olivia and Ava of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dan Bedgood, wife Chris, and daughters Mikhaila and Naomi of Wagga Wagga, N.S.W. Australia, Craig Garnet and daughter Danielle of the area, Kevin Bedgood, wife Gwen of Lancaster, PA and his son Ben of Fairfax, VA and Ben's daughter Lorelai and her mother Jenny of Nashville, TN. Also survived by a very special lady, dear friend and neighbor, Carol Hayes. Predeceased by her husband "Chic" in 1996, and her grandson Steve Garnet in 1989. Visitation Friday, January 4, 2013, 10:00 - 11:30 AM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass Friday, January 4, 2013, 12:00 Noon at Sacred Heart Church, Dover. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
