Obituary of Anna Catherine Ciardi

Anna C. Ciardi, 91 passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover. Anna was born May 10, 1921 in Paterson, NJ. She moved to Morris Plains at the age of 10, moving to Dover after her marriage in 1943 where she spent the rest of her life. She worked for Cessna Aircraft Radio for 9 years as a Machine Operator until her retirement in 1982. Anna was a member of the Mine Hill Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed opera, sewing, singing and canning produce from her garden and was an excellent cook. But most of all Anna enjoyed being with her family and being a grandma to her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She made many friends and enjoyed her time at Merry Heart Assisted Living in Succasunna where she spent 7 months. She is survived by her four sons Bob Ciardi and his wife Joan of Irwin, PA, Bill Ciardi and his wife Judy of Randolph, John Ciardi and his wife Chris of Portland, OR, and Ed Ciardi and his wife Debbie of Norman, OK, her five granddaughters Andrea Hawkins and her husband Steve; Lia, Nicci, Alanna, and Kayla Ciardi and two great-grandchildren Steven and Emily Hawkins. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Anna is predeceased by her husband Alfonso in 2006, her brother Joseph Giacomaro and her sister Beatrice Garrison. Visitation will be held Monday, December 31, 2012 from 9-11:30 AM with a funeral service following at 11:30 AM at Tuttle Funeral Home 272 Rt 10 Randolph, www.tuttlefh.com.
