Obituary of Harry Harris

Harry Harris, age 82, loving husband, father and grandfather entered eternal peace on December 26, 2012 after an extensive battle with injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Greece September 20, 1930 and moved to Dover, NJ in 1956. He started as a professional photographer with a studio in Manhattan NYC, before owning two restaurants, Harris’ in Parsippany and Cattleman’s in Netcong. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church in Randolph, and led an active life which included daily 5 mile runs and workouts at the Fitness Factory Gym. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Theodora (Pappas) his son, Dr. Costas Harris, two daughters, Harriet (Charles Digney) and Loula (Dr. Evangelos Pallis), two grandchildren, Helena and Leonidas, three siblings, Fotini Sikolas, Tom and Nicolas residing in Greece. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces and cousins. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2012 3-7 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Rt 10 Randolph, www.tuttlefh.com. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 31, 2012 9:30 AM at St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church in Randolph. Entombment will follow at Locust Hill Mausoleum, Dover. In lieu of Flowers donations in his memory can be made to St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, 1447 Sussex Turnpike, Randolph NJ 07869.
