Ismael Acevedo, 84 passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at his home following a long illness. Born in Aguada, Puerto Rico Ismael moved to Dover in 1952. He was an Owner/Operator of Yazmin & Amy Shop, Dover for over 40 years until his retirement in 2000 before opening his store; he worked in Mt. Hope Mines in Rockaway for 10 years. Ismael was a Parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Dover and was an avid gardener, coin collector and John Cash fan. He was known for his community service and was a member of the Aguada Social Club. He is survived by Lee, his wife of 56 years, two daughters Jasmin Acevedo of Dover and Amy Acevedo of Randolph, his son Joe and his wife Debbie of Randolph, four grandchildren: Craig, Tassie, Tasha and Marisa, and two great-grandchildren Johannah and Jackson. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters in Puerto Rico as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Rt 10 Randolph, www.tuttlefh.com. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Dover. Interment will be private.
