Obituary of Marie A Recchia

Marie A. Recchia, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 after a short illness, she was 85. Marie was born in North Bergen and lived in Rockaway since 2008, previously she lived in Secaucus for 50 years. Marie was an Accounts Receivable Supervisor for Jamesway Corp. in Secaucus for 15 years, retiring in 1985.She was a parishioner and member of the Rosarian Society at Imacculate Conception Church in Secaucus and most recently a parishioner of St. Cecilia Church in Rockaway, she was also a member of the St. Cecilia Senior Citizens Club and crocheted blankets for the Linus Foundation. Marie is survived by her son: Santo Recchia and his wife Peggy of Flanders and her daughter: Joann Maleck and her husband Marc of Rockaway, four grandchildren: Thomas, Stephen, Marcus and Caitlyn, four great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law: Phyllis and Laura Puccia and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Dominic in 1990, her brothers: Jack and Nicholas Puccia and her sister: Sadie Principe. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph( www.Tuttlefh.com). The Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 10 AM at St. Cecilia Church in Rockaway. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to: St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Marie will always be remembered by the way she embraced Life to the fullest.
