Samuel J. Lori, 91, of Dover, passed away Monday, December 17th, 2012 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown. Samuel was born in Boonton and has been a resident of Dover since 1951.
He served in the U.S. Army during WW II in the 42nd Rainbow Division which liberated the Dachau Concentration Camp in Germany at the end of WWII.
He was a self-employed builder, Sam Lori Builders, Dover.
Survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen; daughter Elaine Bell and her husband Alan of Marlboro; granddaughter Samara Bell of Boston; brother Anthony of Whippany and two sisters Edith Porzio and Amelia Migdol both of Boonton.
Visitation Wednesday, December 19, 2012, 3:00 - 7:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com).
Funeral Services will also be held at the funeral home, 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 20th, 2012. Entombment will follow at Locust Hill Mausoleum, Dover.
In lieu of flowers donations are requested in his memory to the Rainbow Division Veterans Memorial Fund (RDVMF), 640 N.E. Lake Pointe Drive, Lee's Summit, MO 64064-1367.
