Obituary of Olga Brooks

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 from 11:00 am to 1:00pm Olga Brooks died on Friday, August 14, 2009. Born in Newark,NJ, she lived most of her life in Randolph,NJ. Her family came here from Austria in the early part of the century,when Randolph was still rural. She went on to live in Manhattan's exclusive upper east side after her marriage to Art Director Richard Brooks, where she learned a great deal about fashion,decorating,travel, culture,history and cooking,before they returned back to Randolph.Olga had a great sense of style, warmth,an amicable demeanor and good looks to go along with it. She was a private secretary and worked many years for the federal government for some of the Army's top brass and scientists. She was awarded some twenty times for her outstanding achievement. Olga was a social butterfly with an incredible personality who touched the lives of everyone she met. Everyone remembered "Olga" once they met her, it was that simple. Olga is survived by her son, Guitarist and Entrepreneur, Richard Brooks, and her sister and brother. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 from 11:00 am to 1:00pm at Tuttle Funeral Home
