Obituary of Georgia Diamantis
Please share a memory of Georgia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Georgia Diamantis, 84, passed to her new life with our Heavenly Father on
Sunday, November 18, 2012 after a long illness.
Her earthly pain and suffering having ended, she was greeted by those who have
passed before her, including her beloved husband, Panagioti "Pete" Diamantis. She
is survived by her children; Demetrios Diamantis, Ourania Koutsoubas, her
husband, Vasilios, Nicholas Diamantis, his wife, Renee, Spiri Howard, her
husband, Justin, and her seven loving grandchildren: Theodoros, Maria Anna,
Peter, Deven, Gabriel, Sophia and Sarah.
Georgia was born and raised in Analypsis, Greece, where she had many treasured
memories. She married Panagioti, on October 6, 1956, and came to the U.S. in
1969. They raised their family in Dover, NJ. She took great pride in being a
homemaker and enjoyed cooking, and entertaining; welcoming family and friends
to her home.
Georgia was of Greek Orthodox faith. Her spiritual values guided her through her
final days. She trusted God for all of her needs, lived in constant prayer, and kept
her faith through sorrow and difficulties.
Her life and legacy will be celebrated in a service at St. Andrew's Greek Orthodox
Church on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 11am. Visitation with the family will
be held at the Tuttle Funeral Home, Route 10, Randolph, NJ on Tuesday,
November 20, 2012 from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 8pm.
We wish to thank all those who prayed for and visited Georgia during her illness.
