Louis F. Cerrato, Jr., 79, of Budd Lake, passed away Wednesday, November 7th, 2012 at the Staten Island North University Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Mr. Cerrato was born in Bronx, NY and previously resided in Newark. He was a Parishioner of St. Jude Church in Budd Lake and he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He worked as an Electro Plater at Englehard Industry, Union and had also worked as a baker for the A & P Supermarket in Hackettstown for 13 years.
Member of the Senior Citizens of Budd Lake.
Survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Elaine (neeAichelmann); sons Mark Cerrato and finance' Tracy and her two sons Perry and Blake of Maryland and Louis Cerrato and wife Marnie of Buffalo, NY. He was the oldest of ten siblings to include brother James Cerrato and wife Barbara of Staten Island, sister Mary Camp and husband Tom of NY State, brother Ernie Cerrato and wife Alice of Toms River; brother-in-law Frank and wife Evelyn of Montana. He is also survived by his six grandchildren Jacqueline Gilligan and husband Daniel, Michael, Aaron, Hailey, Myles, and Talia; nephews Little Jimmy, Frank, Steven and nieces Doreen and Patricia.
Visitation Friday, November 9, 2012, 3 - 5 & 7 - 9 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com).
Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Church, (973-635-0625) Chatham, at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 10th, 2012.
Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
In lieu of flowers donations are requested in his memory to the American Lung Association of NJ, 1600 US Highway 22, Union, NJ 07083.
