Obituary of Louis Pero

Louis Pero Dover resident 103, married 70 years Louis Pero of Dover, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the Regency Grande Nursing Home in Dover. He was 103. Louis was born on March 22, 1909 in Pinole, California to Antonio and Rosa Pero. His father was employed by Hercules Powder Company when he was transferred to the East Coast while Louis was still a young child. He followed his father's course and worked at Hercules in Kenvil, being employed in the Acid Department for 45 years until his retirement in 1971, at the age of 62. Louis married Helen Bidgood of Dover in April 1935, being married for 70 years when she died in December 2005. He was an avid card player and enjoyed visits to Atlantic City. He is survived by several nieces and nephews; and also several great-nieces and great-nephews as well as friends from New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Vermont. Interment will be private at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover. Arrangements are private by Tuttle Funeral Home.
