Obituary of Howard J. Dietsch

Howard J. Dietsch, 93 passed away suddenly at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown. Mr. Dietsch was born and raised in Newark. He lived in West Orange and Barnegat until moving to Succasunna two years ago. He worked as Chief Architect of the Northern NJ Federal Housing Administration (FHA-HUD) and as the Deputy Director until his retirement 35 years ago. A World War II veteran, he was a Major in an anti-aircraft artillery unit and served in the Figi Islands and the Korean War as well as the Army Reserves. He graduated from the General Command and Staff College. Howard is survived by his wife of 70 years Marion (Nee Nugent); his four daughters: Joyce Dietsch, Carole Nelson and her husband Carl, Gail Baragona and her husband Bob, and June Zarlenga and Gary Pulvermuller; his seven grandchildren: Jeff, Cheryl, Tiffany, Rob, Christina, Vincent and April; and his five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 2-6 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home 272 Route 10 Randolph www.tuttlefh.com. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, September 17, 2012 at 10:00 AM, St. Therese R.C. Church, Succasunna. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, E. Hanover In lieu of flowers donations can be sent in Howard’s memory to Alzheimer's Association P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090
