Dominic J. Albi, 88, of Toms River, passed away Monday, February 3rd, 2014 at the Community Medical Center, Toms River following a long illness. Dominic was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He has been a resident of Holiday City, Toms River since 1993 and formerly resided in Dover. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WW II. Dominic had worked as a Store Manager at the Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, Mount Olive, and retired in 1980 after 34 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Lafayette Council #514 of Dover. He loved reading and playing pool with his friends at Holiday City. Survived by Carmella, his wife of 65 years, his son James J. and his wife Barbara of Bangor, PA and two daughters Cathy Kochanski and her husband Michael of Independence Township and Theresa Costigan and her husband Stephen of Fairfield. Also survived by five grandchildren James Jr., Stephen, Christopher, Michael and Kristen and his brother Louis Albi of Queens, NY. Visitation Friday, February 7th, 2014, 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com ). Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Dover. Entombment Locust Hill Mausoleum, Dover. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in his memory to the Holiday Heights First Aid Squad, 120 Prince Charles Drive, Toms River, NJ 08757.
