Pauline "K" Richie, 88, of Newtown, PA, passed away Tuesday, August 14th, 2012 at Ann's Choice , Warminster, PA following a long illness. Mrs. Richie was born in New York, NY and has been a resident of Ann's Choice Retirement Community for five years. She previously lived in Rockaway Township.
Mrs. Richie served in the U.S. Navy during WW II.
She worked as a Secretary at Picatinny Arsenal, Rockaway Township, and retired in 1987 after 26 years.
She was a member of the Navy Fleet Reserves; Secretary for International Toastmistress Clubs, Inc., NJ; graduated from US Navy Hospital Corps School in 1944 where she took care of servicemen that were injured in the war. Member of the Order of Eastern Star, Quantico, VA then the Salaam Temple, Livingston and most recently Pearl Chapter #79 Order of Eastern Star, Dover. Also a member of American Legion Rockden Post #175, Rockaway and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Rockaway.
Survived by three sons Victor and Beverly, Robert and Vickie, and William; six grandchildren William, Patricia, Amanda, Robyn, Jacob, and Sabrina and four great-grandchildren Joey, Elizabeth, Sierra, and Sophia. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband William E. Richie in 1994.
Visitation today, August 17th, 2012, 4 - 8 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services Saturday, August 18th, 2012, 10:00 AM also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at First Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Rockaway.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are requested to Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
