Obituary of Ralph F. Minervino

Dr. Ralph F. Minervino, passed away on Wednesday August 1, 2012 at the age of 78. Ralph was born on March 15, 1934 in Morristown, NJ and grew up in Dover where he graduated from Dover High School. He went on to graduate from both the University of Pennsylvania undergraduate program and Dental School. He was a self-employed dentist for 42 years with practices in Dover and Randolph. He spent his last years in King’s Cove on Lake Hopatcong. He received numerous athletic awards in football and baseball during his high school and college years and was an avid Yankees fan. He enjoyed boating and skiing with his family, tennis and especially golf. He was a past president of the Dover Kiwanis Club and a past President of the Dover-West Morris Chamber of Commerce. He also taught in The Dental Assisting program at the County College of Morris, which he helped create. He served on the finance committee at the Panther Valley Ecumenical Church, Kings Cove POA Board of Trustees, as well as numerous local committees. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lila, of 57 years who was his high school sweetheart, as well as their four daughters; Sherry Tal of Randolph, NJ, Kathy Minervino of Midlothian, VA, Anita Minervino of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Lisa Wilson of Cary, NC, and two sons-in-law, Robert Tal and David Wilson. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Matthew and Eric Tal, Rebecca Troxell, Andrew and Brian Wilson. The family held a private burial on Friday, August 3rd at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover and a memorial service for family and friends will be held on Saturday August 11th at 10:00am at the Panther Valley Ecumenical Church on Rt. 517 in Allamuchy, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to the Panther Valley Ecumenical Church or the Friends of the Randolph Animal Shelter. Arrangements made by Tuttle Funeral Home.
