Obituary of Julia D. Hughes

Julia D. (Chirip) Hughes, 87, of Mine Hill, passed away Monday, June 11th, 2012 at Merry Heart of Boonton Township, Boonton. She was born in Dover on February 6th, 1925 to Andrew and Meri Chirip. Mrs. Hughes has been a resident of Mine Hill since 1957. She was a Parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Wharton. She worked as an Office Assistant for over 60 years in offices of Dr's Baker, Sr. & Jr., Dr. Krikorian and Dr. Choi. Survived by her husband Robert of 66 years; daughter Carol Osborne and husband Harold of Flanders and son Robert, Jr. and wife Cindy of NV. Also survived by two grandsons Jonathan and Christopher; great-grandson Saige; three sisters Anna Holzworth, Teresa Kopp and Eleanor Krieg; two brothers John and Andy Chirip and many nieces, nephews and special friends. Predeceased by her grandson Justin Osborne, four sisters and one brother. Visitation Thursday, June 14th, 2012, 9 - 10 AM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Wharton, 11:00 AM also on Thursday, June 14th, 2012. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her name to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
