Obituary of Roland F. Lavoie

Roland F. Lavoie Sr. Roland F. Lavoie Sr., 89, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, April 24th, 2012 at Saint Clare's Hospital, Dover. Mr. Lavoie was born in Topsham, ME and has been a resident of Dover since 1950, formerly of Orange. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He worked as a Truck Driver at Whippany Paperboard, Whippany and retired in 1980 after 35 years. After retiring in 1980, he went on to work part-time for Conca & Maviglia Scrap Metals in Dover for 25 more years. He was also an avid golfer. Survived by his daughter Linda Bleistein and husband Ronald of Randolph; his son Roland F. Jr. and wife Arleen of AZ and grandson Jason Bleistein. Also survived by four great-grandchildren Nathan, Jordan, Chase and Kallie and his loving companion Marion Brown. Predeceased by his wife Elaine in 2000. Visitation Friday, April 27th, 2012, 6 - 9 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). There will also be a visitation Saturday 10 - 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in his memory to the Dover Rescue Squad, PO Box 798, Dover, NJ 07801.
