Obituary of Joseph J. Logan

Joseph J. Logan, 84, of Long Valley, passed away Tuesday, April 24th, 2012 at home, following a short illness. Mr. Logan was born in Newark and has been a resident of Long Valley since 1978, formerly of Randolph.
He served in the U.S. Navy during Peacetime.
He was a Lieutenant for the NJ State Police, Troop B, Trenton. He retired in 1978 after 26 years.
Mr. Logan attended Seton Hall University. He was member of the Former Troopers Association, and the Knights of Columbus Council #5910 of Chester; also a member of the Washington Township Senior Citizens Committee and the Washington Township Veterans Association.
Survived by his son Scott D. of Long Valley; his daughter Cynthia Campanella of Murfreesboro, TN; three grandchildren Joseph, Nicole and Scott; one brother Robert Logan of Manhattan; three sisters Joyce Negron, Jane Logan and Marion Quinn all of NJ.
Predeceased by his wife Maureen in 2002, his son Joseph F. in 2001 and his daughter-in-law Lisa in 2010.

Funeral Mass Monday, April 30th, 2012, 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Mountain Church, 2 East Springtown Road, Long Valley 07853 (908-876-4395).
Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover.
