Obituary of Ruth A. Kalata

Ruth A. Kalata, 71, of Somerset, passed away Sunday, January 22nd, 2012 at her residence, following a short illness. Ruth was born in Sharon, PA and has been a resident of Somerset for 5 years, moved here from Randolph.
Ruth received her Bachelor's degree in Education from Youngstown State University, Ohio and a Master's degree from Seton Hall University, South Orange.
She worked as a School Teacher at the Fernbrook School in Randolph for the Randolph Board of Education. Retired in 2007 after 32 years of teaching. She was an avid educator.
Survived by her husband Richard P. of 49 years; son Scott Homer Kalata and wife Linda of Denville; two sisters Joan Brennan of Youngstown, OH and Dorothy Darlymple of NH. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Visitation Wednesday, January 25th, 2012, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Memorial Service will also be at the funeral home Wednesday, January 25th at 12:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Noah's Ark Animal Welfare Association, Inc., 1915 Route 46 West, Ledgewood, NJ 07852.
